Based on recent statistics, the number of centenarians in the UK has grown by 100% from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
From 2004 and 2024, the figure of male individuals reaching 100 has increased threefold from 910 to 3,100. During the same timeframe, the count of female individuals reaching 100 almost doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are eager to hear from centenarians, their relatives or close ones, about what it has been like to live through the past century’s transformative changes and developments.
