Fans Demand Custody of Individual Who Touched Ariana Grande

Devoted supporters of the actress are urging that a man who breached a barrier and seized the performer during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A circulating video depicts the Australian man bypassing camera operators and lunging at Grande while the cast made its way down a event pathway flanked by supporters.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the stunned performer away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being removed of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram recently that he was "released after being taken in", though official papers showed that he was due to be present on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

History of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a celebrity gathering. His Instagram account contains videos of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at the pop singer's Sydney concert in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last winter.

"Steps should be implemented taken against him as this is evidently a legal violation," wrote an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen posted of his behavior.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" one Instagram user questioned.

Followers Voice Worry Over Grande's Well-being

Many fans blamed Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the conclusion of her 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring numerous individuals.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" said another message on Instagram.

A number of supporters also faulted guards at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals called for digital services to block Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In clips spreading on the internet, Grande seemed shocked when she was grabbed by the individual. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Many of fans had congregated in a mass of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific premiere in a Singapore venue, including a number who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The film, to be launched on November 21, is the second of a two-film adaptation of the popular theatrical musical Wicked, which centers on the unexpected friendship between two distinct characters.

The musical itself is a derivative of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a rosé sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who acts as the villainous character, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and earned ten Academy Award nods, winning two for excellent wardrobe and artistic direction.
