FC Barcelona Ready for First Game at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday
Barcelona have announced they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome the Bilbao team in domestic competition over two years since relocating so building work could begin.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
The stadium will not be at full capacity though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch based on approved permits. When completed, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. The club said completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.

The club conducted a fan-accessible workout on the home pitch in early November. They mentioned they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body to host the next European match versus the German side on 9 December at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
